Our free 2-minute Root Cause Score assessment looks at four key areas — energy, sleep, gut health, and hormone balance — and gives you a personalized score plus a clear next step from our functional medicine team.

This assessment is an educational self-reflection tool, not a medical diagnosis. It does not evaluate, diagnose, or treat any condition. Please consult a licensed healthcare provider about any symptoms you're experiencing.

Why "normal" test results don't always mean optimal

Standard bloodwork often comes back "normal" even when someone feels tired, foggy, or off — because conventional lab ranges are built to catch disease, not to capture how you actually feel day to day. Functional medicine looks at the same data differently: not just whether a number falls inside a wide reference range, but whether your body's systems — hormones, gut, energy production, sleep regulation — are working together the way they should. That gap between "normal" and "optimal" is where most unresolved symptoms live, and it's exactly what a free info call is built to start unpacking.

What the Root Cause Score actually measures

Instead of asking about one symptom in isolation, the Root Cause Score looks at four systems that constantly influence each other: energy and fatigue, sleep quality, gut and digestive health, and hormone or mood balance. In functional medicine, a pattern in one area — like poor sleep — is often tangled up with another, like gut inflammation or hormone shifts. Your score and cluster breakdown are designed to show which of these four areas is standing out most for you right now, so your info call can start from an informed, specific place instead of a generic symptom list.

Common root causes we investigate

People who take this assessment are often dealing with chronic fatigue, afternoon energy crashes, brain fog, poor or unrefreshing sleep, bloating and digestive discomfort, food sensitivities, or hormone-related symptoms like mood swings, low libido, weight changes, or irregular cycles. These patterns can point to a number of underlying imbalances — adrenal fatigue, thyroid dysfunction, gut dysbiosis, blood sugar swings, or hormonal shifts — that don't always show up on a standard panel. A functional medicine workup, including more detailed lab testing when appropriate, is how we go beyond the symptom list to find what's actually driving it.

What happens after you book your free info call

Your free 15-minute info call isn't a sales pitch — it's a conversation about what's actually going on, based on your assessment results and health history, and what a personalized functional medicine plan could look like for you. There's no obligation and no pressure; it's simply the fastest way to get a real answer instead of another guess.

Why Dallas-Fort Worth patients choose a functional medicine approach

Regen Wellness works with patients across Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Garland, and the greater DFW metroplex who are tired of being told their labs are fine while they still feel exhausted, foggy, or out of balance. Our functional medicine team combines detailed lab testing with therapies like IV nutrient infusions, bioidentical hormone replacement, and medical ozone to build a plan around your specific root cause — not a one-size-fits-all protocol. If you're searching for a functional medicine clinic in Dallas that treats the whole picture instead of a single symptom, this assessment is a low-pressure way to start.

Common questions

Is the Root Cause Score a medical diagnosis?

No. It's an educational self-reflection tool to help you understand patterns in how you feel — it doesn't diagnose or treat any condition. Only a licensed provider can do that, which is exactly what your free info call is for.

How long does the assessment take?

About 2 minutes — 8 quick questions, each answered on a simple frequency scale.

What kinds of symptoms or conditions can this assessment help point to?

The assessment looks for patterns related to fatigue, poor sleep, gut and digestive issues, and hormone or mood symptoms. These patterns can be connected to things like adrenal fatigue, thyroid dysfunction, gut imbalances, or hormonal shifts, which a functional medicine workup can investigate in more depth.

Is the free info call really free?

Yes — the 15-minute info call has no cost and no obligation. It's a conversation to see if functional medicine is the right fit for what you're experiencing.

Do you only see patients in Dallas?

We work with patients across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Plano, Frisco, and Garland, with telemedicine and in-clinic options available depending on the service.

What if my labs already came back "normal"?

That's actually one of the most common reasons people take this assessment. Functional medicine looks at whether your body's systems are working well together, not just whether a lab value falls inside a wide reference range, so "normal" results don't rule out an underlying imbalance worth investigating.

What happens to my assessment answers?

Your responses help us understand what to focus on during your free info call. They're used only to prepare for your conversation with us, not shared or sold to third parties.

Kaylee Kenyon, BSN-RN

Hi, I’m Kaylee—a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a minor in Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler. I began my nursing career in Labor and Delivery at Medical City Dallas, a Level IV trauma center, where I had the privilege of supporting women and families through some of life’s most transformative moments.

While I’ve always been passionate about caring for others, I’ve discovered my true calling in Functional Medicine. I believe in looking beyond symptoms to find the root causes of health concerns and walking alongside each patient as they work toward feeling their best—inside and out.

When I’m not in scrubs, you’ll find me enjoying life with my husband and our two dogs, spending time with friends and family, cooking up something new in the kitchen, or getting my hands dirty in the garden. Helping others live healthier, more vibrant lives is what inspires me every day.
